This is going to be a hard book to review, but I'll do my best. To start off, I really did like this book. There was just something missing from it that didn't make me love it as much as Ms. Mead's other books. I just felt like it was lacking that special something, you know? Also, it was a bit predictable. I figured out a lot of the main plot pretty early on in the book, which is surprising because usually when I read books by Richelle Mead it's the opposite. To me, it was fairly obvious that Roman was the nephilium, and when they said he had a twin I guessed pretty quickly it'd be Helena. Overall I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. I'm pretty torn about this one, but I did enjoy it enough to finish it. I'm going to read the next book, and hopefully it catches my interest a little bit more than the first!
