Reasons why I DIDN'T like (and didn't finish) Halfway to the Grave:1. The writing. At first I couldn't figure out why I didn't enjoy this book as much as I had anticipated. Soon after that I figured out it was the writing. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't good, either. Frost was lacking (in my opinion) detailing and basic grammar skills. I also noticed that she said the word "hollow" almost every time she described Bones. For some reason, that bugged me.2. Cat. I found her extremely annoying. She's so naive and ignorant. I couldn't bare to listen to her whine about how much she despised vampires any more. If she hated vampires THAT much, she shouldn't have slept with one. Hypocrite, much? 3. Bones. I didn't find him an interesting (or attractive, for that matter) character at all. He seemed to try too hard with the whole "fear me, I'm a vampire" act. He had no interesting qualities about him and I couldn't find myself with any particular fondness of him.4. Cat & Bone's "relationship." There was no relationship building. It was rushed and impractical. I didn't like them together at all.So, I gave it 2 stars because:1. I didn't finish it. And I don't want to.&2. I didn't hate it... I just didn't enjoy it and the flaws outweighed the beauty in this one.
